The first photograph is a picture of me facing backwards wearing a t-shirt that says "remember the name". The shirt is from cheer so I thought it represented me well since I love cheerleading and it is a big part of my life. I used a self-timer to take this photo. I put my camera on a shelf on the wall and set the timer for 10 seconds. I was in the spare room in my house. It was the early afternoon when I took this photograph so you can vaguely see the sunlight coming through the window creating a little bit of shadow on my left. The middle photo is of my running shoes on my feet. I run for track and enjoy it a lot and I thought the running shoes conveyed that. Since the photo is only of my feet, I held the camera and just angled it down at my feet. I went outside in the street to take this photo. This photograph was taken in the afternoon like my first photo was. However, it was relatively cloudy so there are not many shadows in the photo. My final photograph is a picture of my cat and I. I adore my cat and love to pet her, but unfortunately she does not feel the same way. She is old and not very friendly, so when I grabbed her to take the picture she hissed at me. The photo was supposed to be a nice photograph, but it did not work out the way I had planned. However, the photo shows my cat's personality, so I don't think it was a complete failure. I set a self timer to take this photo. I put the camera on the floor in my kitchen. I think my photographs are successful because they all represent something important to me.
